Itinerary

13:00 — Departure from the pier. Transfer to the snorkel site near the An Thới archipelago, the same reef area used by the 3-island tours, in sheltered water to the south of the island.

14:00–15:30 — Snorkelling session at the coral reef. Masks, fins, and vests are provided. The reef here has a healthy mix of hard and soft corals in the shallower sections. Clownfish, damselfish, parrotfish, and various small reef species are common sightings. No diving experience is required — basic swimming is enough.

15:30–16:30 — Time to rest on deck, dry off, have refreshments. The pace is unhurried. Some guests choose to snorkel a second time during this window if conditions are good.

16:30–17:30 — The boat moves to a position with an open view of the western horizon. This is the sunset window — the boat anchors or drifts while the sun goes down. The light is typically at its best 20–30 minutes before the sun touches the water. Bring a phone or camera for the colours.

17:30–18:00 — Return to the pier. Back on shore before dark.

Good to know

This is a snorkel tour that ends at sunset — not a sunset cruise with food and entertainment. The emphasis is on time in the water. If you are after a meal on the water, this is not the right trip.

Snorkel ability: Basic swimming is required. The reef areas are calm and inshore. Vests are always available. Children who can swim are welcome — check the age and weight requirements for the vest when booking.

Photography: The afternoon light is genuinely good for underwater shots — warm tones, decent visibility. A basic waterproof phone case or action camera is worth bringing.

Compared to the 3-island tour: The 3-island day tour is the full-day version with multiple stops and a longer snorkel window. If you want a complete island day, that tour is the right choice. This afternoon trip is for those who want a focused two-to-three-hour snorkel, plus the sunset, without committing to a full day.

What to bring: Swimwear, a towel, sun protection (reef-safe sunscreen — the corals here are protected), a light layer for the boat ride back, and a waterproof case for your phone.

Couples and small groups: This tour works well for two people. The smaller boat and quieter pace make it a different experience from the larger group day tours.
