Symphony of the Sea Phu Quoc: south island show, BBQ and fireworks

Symphony of the Sea is Phú Quốc’s major evening spectacle — a full afternoon-to-night tour that takes you through the south of the island, across the Hòn Thơm cable car, along the scenic coastal route past Khem Beach and Cầu Hôn bridge, and into an outdoor theatre show combining water screens, pyrotechnics, acrobatics, and music. A BBQ buffet dinner and evening fireworks over the water round out the night. It is a very different type of day from the island snorkel tours — this one is built around the atmosphere of the evening rather than time on the water.

Itinerary

• 14:30 — Pickup at your hotel; scenic drive south through the coastal road
• 15:30 — Khem Beach stop: one of the cleanest and longest beaches on Phú Quốc’s southern coast. Time to walk the shoreline before the evening begins.
• 16:30 — Cầu Hôn (Kiss Bridge): the curved pedestrian bridge stretching out over the water. Professional group photos taken here.
• 17:30 — Board the Hòn Thơm cable car across to the south island. 8 km of open sea, around 20 minutes each way. Worth keeping your camera out.
• 18:30 — BBQ buffet dinner: grilled seafood, meat, and vegetables, plus Vietnamese and international dishes. Eat at a relaxed pace before the show.
• 20:00 — Symphony of the Sea show: approximately 60 minutes of outdoor theatre on the water stage. Water screens, fire effects, acrobatics, and an original score performed live.
• 21:30 — Fireworks display: 15–20 minutes of pyrotechnics over the water to close the night
• 22:00 — Cable car back; coach return to hotels
• ~22:30 — Hotel drop-off

What to wear: the evening involves walking, a cable car, and sitting outdoors for the show. Light clothing works in warm weather; bring a light layer for the cable car and open-air theatre if you run cold. Comfortable shoes are better than sandals for the evening walking sections.

Not right for: guests who prefer early nights, young children who may struggle with the late finish, or anyone who has already seen Kiss of the Sea at the same venue — the two shows share the same stage setup and would feel very similar.

Booking timing: because this tour runs in the evening, it pairs well with a morning of your own in town. The Phu Quoc night market closes around the same time, so it is best to visit the market on a different night.
