Photography Add-On for Phu Quoc Tours: a guide with a camera

Phu Quoc tour photography service — this is an add-on, not a separate tour. A guide who also carries a professional DSLR or mirrorless camera joins your group for the day and photographs you throughout. The result: a full day of images taken by someone who knows the spots, reads the light, and can get natural candid shots alongside posed group photos. The service costs 500,000₫ per group — flat rate, regardless of whether you are a couple or a family. It is available on any of the 18 tours in the lineup.

What the photographer does

The photographer-guide has a dual role: they function as a normal tour guide (navigation, local knowledge, answering questions) while also shooting throughout the day.

On the water, at the beach, at scenic stops — they are looking for the moments when the light is right and people are relaxed. Candid shots: the children looking down into the water, the couple at the bow of the boat, the group laughing over lunch. These are the images that are impossible to take of yourself.

At key stops — Cầu Hôn bridge, the cable car platform, the coral reef viewing point, the boat — they also take posed group shots. Not stiff and formal, but the kind of frame you actually want on your wall.

The photographer uses a DSLR or mirrorless camera (not a phone). They shoot in high resolution throughout the day, selecting the best frames for delivery. Unlimited shots during the day — nothing is metered or rationed.

This is not a video service. For underwater footage, the dedicated GoPro snorkel tour covers that instead.

Note: some tours already include an aerial flycam service. The photography add-on is separate — it is a full-day personal service with a photographer in your group, focused entirely on your party.

Good to know

When to book: add the photography service at the same time you book your main tour. The photographer-guide needs to be allocated to your group in advance — it cannot be arranged on the morning of departure.

Camera equipment: DSLR or mirrorless, shot in RAW or high-quality JPEG. The specific camera model may vary by guide, but the output quality is professional-grade.

File delivery: photos are usually sent within 24–48 hours of the tour via a shared link. High-resolution files — suitable for printing if you want prints later.

Privacy: your images are yours. Nothing is posted to social media or used in any marketing without explicit permission.

Who gets the most out of it: couples (impossible to have good photos of both of you without a third person), families with young children (the best shots happen quickly and are gone), and anyone who has come back from a trip before with only selfies and distant beach shots.

What it is not: this is not a professional photo shoot with posing instructions and editing. It is a travel documentary service — natural images of your group enjoying the day. If you want a styled portrait session, that is a different product.
